  Taking on the assignment on creating an LMS was a lot more challenging than I expected. Careful thought and planning went into ensuring I had everything I needed to build a successful classroom. I used Canvas to create my classroom and after many YouTube videos and googling I was finally able to set up all my tiles and link everything together. I began with creating my account, it is free for teachers to create with their school email and once you are working at a school, the school will link your students to your classrooms. Creating the tiles was the most difficult and tedious part of all. I started by Youtubing how to make a tile in canvas. I created a homepage in which I had labeled tiles so that students would be able to find their assignments, notes, and our Zoom link all in one place. Microsoft Teams Microsoft teams allows students with different learning preferences join in on daily class discussions without having to speak out loud. This would work especially well for those students in your classroom who have accommodations. In Microsoft Teams, teachers have access to many different applications, one application that would be especially useful for students who are afraid to speak up in class is  YourWhiteBoard.  This feature  is an online collaborative virtual board that allows many users to draw simultaneously, and it is updated in real time for all connected users.   Teaching Philosophy and Technology What I believe about teaching and technology is that in today’s world you cannot do one without the other. As educators we cannot be afraid of change, we must adapt and continue learning to be a great teacher. We have come such a long way and today’s students are so advanced when it comes to technology. They are shown how to use IPADs, cellphones, and computers at a much younger age than we were. The classrooms are also changing yearly with the latest technology and innovations to make for an easier and more fun way of learning. Since the pandemic virtual classrooms have been upgraded. Take Zoom for instance, it now has an interactive whiteboard incorporated so that teacher and students can use this simultaneously.
