Technologies to Support Learning Preferences

1. Microsoft Teams

Microsoft teams allows students with different learning preferences join in on daily class discussions without having to speak out loud. This would work especially well for those students in your classroom who have accommodations. In Microsoft Teams, teachers have access to many different applications, one application that would be especially useful for students who are afraid to speak up in class is

YourWhiteBoard.

This feature is an online collaborative virtual board that allows many users to draw simultaneously, and it is updated in real time for all connected users. Teachers can teach and have students collaborate together all while still being independent.

2. Google Slides

Google Slides is one application that can be used from elementary to high school classroom settings. In Google Slides you are able to create an interactive space within your classroom. One awesome way to use this would be, after you have had lecture, assign each student a slide number and have them create their own slide that may in some way pertain to the lesson. This is where students are able to use their creativity, and put their own spin on how they interpret the lesson.

3. Book Creator

Book creator is an application that can be used for students who have yet learn to read. This application allows student to create their own books. They are able to create complex reading material, which you could assign to your a high school English class as project grade, or have your elementary class create an all about me book.
